Profile

Jónrit Halling is a pharmacist and PhD in Clinical Pharmacology. She is Associate Professor in molecular biology at the University in the Faroe Islands and collaborates closely with the Department of Occupational Medicine and Public Health in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands. She has worked primarily with pharmacogenetics, human epidemiology and environmental exposures. Besides being a principal investigator involved in several projects taking place at the University and also at the Department of Occupational Medicine and Public Health, her work is focusing on gene-environmental interactions in autism. She is working with the ongoing Faroese autism project in close collaboration with Professor Christopher Gillberg, Professor Thomas Bourgeron and the Faroese Genetic Biobank.
